Non-Motorised User (NMU)/Sustainable Travel Audits

Local and national policies promote and encourage sustainable, inclusive and equitable access for all. NMU/Sustainable Travel Audits are increasingly being requested by local highway authorities to focus on the specific needs of pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians, and with particular consideration of the needs of those with disabilities as part of the development planning process.

An NMU/Sustainable Travel Audit identifies any issues along key designated routes to destinations, and,  mitigation, if necessary, in order to safely facilitate travel by non-motorised modes.

Cotswold Transport Planning has extensive experience of undertaking NMU/Sustainable Travel Audits for a range of schemes such as residential, retail/commercial and educational establishments, in accordance with the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (HD42/05).

If you would like further information on the NMU/Sustainable Travel Audit process or would like a quotation for Cotswold Transport Planning to prepare a report on your behalf, we would be delighted to hear from you.
